Mexican Independence Day: 9/16

WHAT:  Tradition and fun are the lifeblood of Tres Agaves Restaurants. Mexican Independence Day has traditionally not been as big a holiday as Cinco de Mayo in the U.S., but at Tres Agaves, it’s worthy of a major celebration. This year the celebration stretches over two days at Tres Agaves, lining up with our Third Thursday Distillery of the Month dinner.

Tres Agaves’ Mexican Independence Day celebration will feature music and specials for patrons all evening long on Wed., Sept. 16.

Two days of revelry will conclude with a special dinner on Thurs., Sept. 17 with the owner of Tequila Casa Noble, Jose "Pepe" Hermosillo. Guests will enjoy an exclusive taste of Tres Agaves’ Tequila Casa Noble Single Barrel Reposado, along with the usual five-course meal, unlimited margaritas and entertainment. Tres Agaves’ Tequila Casa Noble Single Barrel Reposado is available only at Tres Agaves restaurants.

Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo will be a blast this year!

The party starts in the morning.  No Name from Live 105 will be here from 12pm-2pm and during that time there will be free tacos as well as drinks specials.  Starting at 3 pm, we will have a pig rotisserie in our tent out back.  A DJ starts up in our back room at 5pm, and the evening will feature live mariachis.  Last call is at 1:30.  Don't miss out!

Drink specials:

$20 buckets of 5 Dos XX Lagers

$8 "Doble Doble": Dos XX or Tecate on draft, plus a shot of Arette Blanco

November 20: Chinaco Distillery Dinner November's sold-out distillery dinner was amazing. Our kitchen pulled out all the stops, creating a special five-course Jaliscan meal that won rave reviews. Furthermore, Jake Lustig of Southern Wine and Spirits led a lively tasting and our guests were extremely impressed with Chinaco's artisanal Tequilas (including the rare Chinaco Negro Extra Añejo). A mariachi band completed the lively atmosphere, making it an unforgettable evening. Thanks to both Guillermo and Gabriel Gonzalez of Chinaco for attending and making this event special.
75th Anniversary of Prohibition's End

On December 5th, Tres Agaves celebrated 75 years since the passage of the 21st amendment, which repealed the national ban on alcohol. Guests drank their margaritas Kentucky style--with a bourbon floater--in honor of that historic American milestone.

SF GIANTS GAME DAY

We are open every day, but on big game days (i.e. Dodgers, A's) we will also have 'La Plaza del Agave' open. La Plaza is located in the rear of the restaurant, and features two bars and two 10 foot screens showing baseball games. It will be open after games, and pre-game for big games. All food is served off of our authentic taco carts from Guadalajara, Mexico. All food available to go. Note that we do change items frequently.
